Ministry reaches the Armed Forces via the ‘Net

23 Nov

You may recall an article I wrote earlier this month on how the role of military chaplains has drastically changed.  Perhaps that’s one reason why Global Ministry Outreach has constructed five Web sites specifically targeting the various military branches.

The sites are: godlovesairmen.com, godlovesmarines.com, godlovessailors.com, godlovessoldiers.com and flagsandfaith.com.

“Our prayers go out to a hurting nation today,” said Walt Wilson, founder and chair of GMO, a Silicon Valley-based ministry that uses emerging technologies to spread the Gospel of Jesus throughout the world. “We are in full support of our military and hope that these sites help to provide comfort during this difficult time.”

It looks like GMO is bringing this military ministry into the 21st Century. Maybe Air Force or Navy Bibles aren’t doing the trick anymore.

What type of content do you think these Web sites need to contain?
