Madonna: Israel is the energy center for the world

20 Oct

Madonna loves Israel. She’s performed there twice this year, after a 16-year absence. Both performances drew more than 100,000 fans – and tickets started at $100 a seat. According to Religion Dispatches, she told the Israeli press that the 16-year wait was too long. “Every time I come here, I get so supercharged with energy,” she said, “…I truly believe that Israel is the energy center of the world.”

In Israel, Madonna is her secular name. Her Kabbalah name is Esther. Israeli’s call her Queen Esther. She met with Israeli politicians there, but despite the love most seem to have for her, some have called her an “embarrassment.”

In contrast to the secular Israeli leaders Shimon Peres, Tzipi Livni, and Benjamin and Sarah Netanyahu, Orthodox Rabbis in Israel were not charmed or flattered by Madonna’s interest in Kabbalism. Rabbi Shaul Eliyahu (the official Rabbi of Safed, the city of the Jewish mystics) wrote a public letter to Madonna telling the star that despite her good intentions in visiting Israel, her public behavior is an embarrassment. “Exposing a woman’s body may raise the lust instead of raising the love—and that is a shame.” But not all traditional Rabbis in Safed have been critical of Madonna’s brand of Kabbalism. In 2007 Rabbi Shlomo Schwartz told an Haaretz correspondent that “you have to take advantage of what God puts in your way. Thank God for Madonna—Esther, or whatever her name is, for putting Kabbalah on the front page… People are not listening to Rabbis, they are watching Madonna on MTV.”

So what do you think? Is Madonna, or Queen Esther, a blessing or a curse for the Israeli people?

The best artist of all time for sure! After millions of records sold they are still killing all the new younger aged people in sales. Simply amazing.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Friday that Israel’s announcement of new settlement construction in disputed territory in East Jerusalem was “insulting” to the United States. Its doesn’t bother me though. I will be fine.

That babe is just brilliant, I mean mostly all seems to think she is not to clever but that’s just an act, it does take some skills to become one of the most famous people in the world.
